I'm back with the Wedding Wednesday posts! If you're a new reader, let me fill you in! I'm engaged and have been writing a few Wedding Wednesday posts to get prepared for the big day. As much fun as planning can be, no one told me how many things I need to account for! From save the dates, to invitations to party favours... the options are endless. That's why every Wednesday  is dedicated to weddings to help give you ideas for your future wedding, and to document my own experiences!

How to Organize Your Life

Over the past few days, I've been getting myself organized since it's a new month. I was thinking about what my daily activities consist of and I realized a lot of time is actually spent finding things or trying to remember who I need to send out emails to. This was fairly embarrassing because I didn't realize just how much time I wasted! (Seriously, it's not good!) I buckled down and got working on organizing my life and poof! I answer emails same day now. I'm pretty proud!

May 2017 Empties

If you're unfamiliar with my monthly empties posts, I've been making an effort to diminish my huge pile of samples and products (see blog post here: Project: Finish Samples). Just as a disclaimer though, I don't use more product in an effort to just get rid of it! I still only use the same amount (e.g. 1 pump for serum) and I don't drown my skin in moisturizer. I just make a more conscious effort to use the same things daily rather than dabbling in many products at once. You can check out my previous empties posts here and here... but this month's empties are different!

Sweet Peach Nighttime Look

When a new palette comes out, I find that you see a ton of looks that feature the popular shades. What about the colours that are lesser used? You know what I'm talking about... that bright blue in that palette you have, when are you ever going to use it? That's why when I got the Sweet Peach palette from Too Faced, I told myself I was going to go out of the norm of those pretty peach shades and use the greens and purples. I created a look that featured some neutral shades as I was going to an event and created this gorgeous Sweet Peach nighttime look.

Too Faced Sweet Peach

Too Faced has come out with many cute releases in the past and the Sweet Peach launch is no exception! This sweet smelling collection smells like peach candies and is perfect for these warmer months. In 2016, it was the most talked about product and was sold out within minutes. Now back in stock, the Sweet Peach palette is accompanied with an entire collection. Featuring 18 beautiful shades of peachy pinks, corals, bronzes and pops of purple, each shade is infused with a juicy scent that smells just like peaches!

2017 Top Podcasts I Love

Although I've listened to podcasts before, I started having shorter commutes and fell out of love with them. Although they're great to listen to as a way to pass time, I discovered that listening to them with meaning is so much better. I recently started listening to podcasts again a few months ago and have been listening to them religiously. Every morning, I get up and start my morning routine. While making breakfast, I turn on the computer and listen to my podcasts. To me, there's no better way to start my morning routine.

April 2017 Empties

Each month, I strive to finish products that are almost used up because of Project: Finish Samples. The amount of sample sized or travel sized products I own is quite overwhelming. My reasoning? I keep thinking I need to save them for upcoming trips or overnighters, but really... who am I kidding?! Just how many trips am I taking on a monthly basis? I noticed my samples were piling up and so, in an effort to diminish them, I'm using them up! This month in my April 2017 empties, I really concentrated on finishing up hair care and skin care products. You can also see my last monthly empties post (here), where I cover mascara & body care. Moor Spa Skincare Review

Moor Spa products are 100% naturally derived and free of petroleum derivatives, synthetic chemicals and potentially toxic ingredients. Moor Spa products also do not contain any artificial preservatives or test on animals. I've used green beauty products before (post on why: here) and it's nice to see a natural alternative for the spa. Over the past few years, I've noticed more green beauty brands and existing brands changing formulations to be more natural-friendly. Since it's a new season, I needed a new skincare routine and I was able to try out a few products to put together a Moor Spa Skincare Review.

Spring Street Style: Gigi Hadid

Found on magazine covers and various ad campaigns, it's no surprise that Gigi Hadid has great style. From street style star to supermodel on the runway, Gigi Hadid's outfits are so good, we want them for ourselves. Hot body and long, lean legs aside, Gigi has a true grasp on fashion. When it comes to finding figure flattering clothes while also appearing sophisticated and effortless, Hadid has it down to a science. This week, I've broken down a great outfit of hers so that you too can look like an off duty model have have a great spring street style.

How Cleansing Oils Work

Cleansing oils are fairly popular in the beauty scene, particularly in Asia. They're mostly used to remove makeup, but wash off cleanly with water. Read: cleanly. There's (generally) no greasy feeling, no oily film... just clean skin! The double cleansing method is my favourite way to remove makeup because I find that it generally removes most (if not all!) of my makeup in the first cleanse, and it involves a cleansing oil. I never really thought about how cleansing oils work until Erik (my fiancé) asked me how the oil helps to remove makeup. This made me think about it and want to do some research!
